Stainless handrails and balustrades
Lyndon Engineering have completed the design drawings, fabrication and installation for Christchurch Boys High’s balustrades and handrails in their newly built facilities. This was a Ministry of Education job, working with Southbase as the main contractor. The job included a range of heavy duty steel balustrades fitted out with stainless steel handrails across several levels and multiple buildings. The balustrades were finished in a metallic paint finish and this worked in asthetically well with the stainless steel handrails. In addition a special custom style external stainless handrail was fabricated and installed based on the existing designs found across some historic areas in the school. There were hundreds of engineer hours invloved in fabricating and installing this project across 2020 and 2021.
